Damn, Forgot I had this!

Yep, been to damn busy hanging out with kids, riding bikes, buying a new building for the bike shop, expanding EP/BC, bringing in Trek Bicycles, venturing into outdoor accessories like Wilderness Systems and Dagger Kayaks, Mad River Canoes, Osprey Packs, NRS watersports, Big Agnes Camping Gear, and more and more to do some blog....there did it! I Blogged again!

Traxxas R/C here in Martinsburg, Need to do Work!

It has been a crazy month and haven't been able to post. Babies are wide open and outta control. Store is receiving 2012 product. Help is back in school. I haven't enjoyed a bicycle ride in probably 2 months.....may try to do the backroads century this weekend, I should be fine, I have ridden at least 150 miles this whole summer?

I'm so far behind, I think I am FIRST!

big ride tomorrow

Headed out for a big ride tomorrow, nearly 200 miles. Leaving house and headed to smoke hole canyon out past Petersburg, WV. This ride will entail nearly 14000 feet of climbing....it is going to be fun!

Bike shop by day, daddy by eve, business at midnight

Well now than I m a father of 2 beautiful girls and owner of a 3 year old fast growing bicycle shop....my life is changed. The sleep I enjoyed has suddenly disappeared and the crazy wreckless/try anything/race anything lifestyle I lived is OVER.

The bike shop eats my time all day (yes it fun, but it is also a great deal of work, and I chose to do it), then when I make it home, I enjoy spending time with my girls until we are all whipped, then pass out asleep.....get wakened by a hungry baby in the midnite and spend the midnight doing the shop office work, emails, blog, marketing, ordering, etc......pass out again, awaken and enjoy my motorcycle alone time ride to the shop to start over.

Yeeha, glad I waited until I was 40 to decide to do this!

Wow what a week!

It's been a wild week, slow at times, crazy at others....people are buying bikes and fixing bikes and still riding in this heat!
Our group rides have lacked participation, due to heat, vacations, injuries, and etc.....lets hope the rides start to pick up again. We ride Tue and Thur eve, be at shop by 6PM, we like to be riding by 6:15. 20-30 miles at a 17-19mph avg pace, no drops, wait at stops and intersections, we have FUN!

The other crazy thing this week is anxiety for a new addition to my family....since starting this shop my wife and I have settled and started a nice little family and have acquired many new friends....this bike shop/family business thing will be fun for years to come.

Baby on the way and 2011 Pivot 429 XO build

We need to start using this blog feature to let more folks know whats going on at the shop. I have been a little crazy of late as business has been steady, trying to keep track of my 2 yr old little girl, and awaiting the arrival of our new baby any day (no we do not know the sex of the baby, nor a name)...one of life's greatest surprises and gifts!

So I am going to start posting a little more regularly.

To just update on the store, it is jammed with product from bikes, to clothing, shoes, helmets, car racks, gels, lights, baskets, you name it and we have something in stock. We are starting to get a lot of 2012 products in from Specialized, Cannondale, Fuji, Breezer, and others. We just built an awesome 429 from Pivot Cycles....this is one of the last new 2011 Pivot 429s available in the states. Red anodized medium frame and built with all SRAM XO components....it's light and fast, the best 29er I have ever ridden. It retails for a little over $6K, come in for the best deal.
